The Ministry of Finance has officially announced that a delegation of International Monetary Fund (IMF) officials is scheduled to visit the island nation on Thursday (7). The primary objective of this visit is to address critical financial matters, specifically those related to the third tranche of the IMF-supported program for Sri Lanka.
Mahinda Siriwardena, the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, has confirmed the upcoming visit by the IMF officials. The delegation is slated to engage in discussions with key stakeholders, including President Ranil Wickramasinghe and other high-ranking officials, as part of their agenda to navigate and address crucial financial issues facing Sri Lanka.
