The forecasting division of the National Meteorological Centre has announced that aside from isolated showers expected in the Ratnapura, Galle, and Matara districts during the evening or night, predominantly dry conditions will prevail over the entire island.
Nevertheless, misty conditions may occur in certain areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts during the morning hours.
In the sea areas surrounding the island, predominantly fair weather is anticipated.
Easterly to north-easterly winds are forecasted for sea areas extending from Mannar to Matara via Kankesanthurai, Trincomalee, Pottuvil, and Hambantota, with variable wind directions expected in other sea areas around the island. Wind speeds are projected to reach 30 kmph.
