Deputy Agriculture Minister Assures Adequate Rice Supply Ahead of Festive Season

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Namal Karunaratne, has confirmed that a stock of imported rice is set to arrive in Sri Lanka before December 20, ensuring there will be no shortage during the festive season.

He further stated that the harvesting of crops for the Maha season is expected to conclude by the end of January, bolstering the country’s rice supply.
