Japan Donates Rs. 300 Million in Disaster Relief to Sri Lanka

Japan has donated Rs. 300 million worth of relief supplies to assist Sri Lanka in supporting those affected by recent disasters.

The aid package includes tents, mattresses, plastic sheets, and other essential items.

A special cargo plane from Japan, facilitated by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), delivered the supplies to Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.

The donation was officially received by senior officials, including the Secretary of the Ministry of Defence and the Director General of the Disaster Management Centre, underscoring the strong bilateral ties between the two nations.
