Former Deputy Leader of the United National Party, MP Ravi Karunanayake, says that the government is facing practical challenges in addressing the economic crisis and working with the International Monetary Fund to resolve it.
He stressed that the government must offer workable, real-world solutions rather than relying solely on statements and announcements.
Speaking to the media, Karunanayake noted that simply presenting a budget does not automatically generate economic impact.
He added that the budget must include clear programmes that ensure money reaches the hands of the people, enabling real economic relief and activity.
