Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Kumari Liyanage, has confirmed to Divaina that she has lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) following reports that this year’s Advanced Level Economics question paper was leaked prior to the examination.
The Commissioner stated that several allegations, including the prior sharing of guess questions and leaks of examination papers, have been circulating on social media. However, the Examination Department’s internal inquiry has not revealed any such incidents.
“Since a formal investigation is necessary, we have filed a complaint with the CID through an officer of the Examination Department to ensure a proper inquiry,” she added.
