Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd has recorded the highest number of passengers handled in a single month in its history, the Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation Sri Lanka announced.
According to the Ministry, a total of 1,045,097 passengers were served in January, surpassing the previous record of 1,034,687 passengers recorded in January 2018.
Officials said the latest figures mark the highest monthly passenger throughput ever processed by the company, reflecting the strong rebound in air travel and growing connectivity through Sri Lanka’s airports.
