The Athurugiriya Police have successfully recovered 50 rounds of live ammunition, intended for use in T-56 firearms, along with a sharp weapon, following information obtained from a detained suspect.
The 25-year-old suspect was initially arrested on April 12 for the possession of 11.1 grams of ICE. During an interrogation conducted under a detention order, the police were able to locate the ammunition.
The Athurugiriya Police are continuing their investigations into the matter.
