The Bandaranaike Memorial National Foundation has contributed Rs. 250 million to support national recovery efforts following the recent disaster.
The cheque was handed over to Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya at the Prime Minister’s Office today (08). The presentation was made by the Foundation’s Chairperson, former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, along with members of the Board of Directors.
Following the handover, a cordial discussion took place between former President Kumaratunga and Prime Minister Amarasuriya, the Prime Minister’s Media Division stated.
The event was attended by Secretary to the Prime Minister Pradeep Saputhanthri, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Dr. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, as well as representatives of the Bandaranaike Memorial National Foundation.
