Cabinet Approves Recruitment of 2,284 Personnel to Fill State Sector Vacancies

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the recruitment of 2,284 personnel to the state sector to fill existing vacancies.

This follows an earlier Cabinet decision to implement the recommendations of a committee appointed to review state sector recruitment procedures and address current staffing needs.

A committee chaired by the Secretary to the Prime Minister—comprising senior officials—was tasked with identifying requirements, prioritising vacancies, and determining appropriate timelines after conducting a comprehensive review of the government recruitment process.

Based on requests submitted by various Ministries to fill vacancies within their respective institutions, departments, and affiliated agencies, the Cabinet has now granted approval for the Prime Minister’s proposal to proceed with the recruitment.

Accordingly, approval has been granted to recruit 2,284 new personnel to the state sector.
