The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval for the submission of the Appropriation Bill for the 2026 financial year to Parliament.
At its meeting on July 1, the Cabinet had earlier approved the drafting of the Bill. Following this, the draft prepared by the Legal Draftsman received clearance from the Attorney General.
Accordingly, the Cabinet has also approved the President’s proposal to publish the Bill in the Government Gazette before submitting it to Parliament for approval.
