The Colombo High Court has adjourned the hearing of the money laundering case against Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, and his grandmother Daisy Forest, to July 28, 2025.
The adjournment was ordered as the presiding judge assigned to the case is currently on leave.
The Attorney General filed the case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, alleging that the two defendants unlawfully acquired assets and properties valued at approximately Rs. 73 million. The court has directed the Attorney General to recall the matter on the new date.
