Compensation Payments Begin for CEB Employees Who Voluntarily Resigned

The Ministry of Energy Sri Lanka says compensation payments for employees who voluntarily resigned during the restructuring process of the Ceylon Electricity Board will begin today.

According to the Ministry, a total of Rs. 8.9 billion has been allocated for the compensation programme.

Nearly 1,600 employees who opted for the voluntary resignation scheme are expected to receive their payments today as part of the restructuring initiative.
