The condition of the seven individuals injured in a road accident near the Borella Cemetery Roundabout will be officially released by this evening, according to Colombo National Hospital (CNH) Deputy Director Dr. Rukshan Bellana.
Eight people were brought to the hospital early this morning following the accident. One individual succumbed to injuries en route, while the remaining seven—two females and five males—were admitted for further treatment.
“All patients are currently under medical care, and a formal assessment of their conditions will be provided later today,” Dr. Bellana stated. He noted that it is too early to confirm whether any of the injured are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, Borella Police have launched a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
