The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation says strict legal action will be taken against fuel stations that issue fuel outside the mandatory QR code system.
Managing Director Mayura Neththikumarge stated that the QR code-based fuel distribution mechanism remains compulsory for all fuel stations.
Speaking to Newsfirst, Neththikumarge said authorities have received complaints regarding several fuel stations in the Uva Province allegedly distributing fuel without following the QR verification process.
He emphasized that all fuel stations are required to comply with the QR code system introduced to regulate fuel distribution and monitor supply management across Sri Lanka.
