Acting Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasooriya announced that a Crime Division has been established in every province as part of ongoing efforts to suppress crime.
These Crime Divisions will operate under the supervision of a Senior Deputy Inspector General.
Additionally, the Acting IGP highlighted the launch of a special program aimed at raising public awareness about crimes committed by police officers.
