The general public will be able to use their debit and credit cards to pay for expressway tolls starting May 1, 2025, as announced by Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation Bimal Rathnayaka.
Minister Rathnayaka stated that the Road Development Authority (RDA) will upgrade all expressway exit points to accept payments via debit and credit cards.
As part of the initial phase of this ambitious initiative, the Kadawatha and Kottawa exit points will begin accepting debit and credit card payments from today, the Transport Minister confirmed.
