Former Deputy Leader of the United National Party and Parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake emphasized that enhancing productivity is vital for the country’s economic development.
Speaking to the media, he pointed out that boosting exports alone will not yield results if national productivity remains low.
Karunanayake added that Sri Lanka must function as a rapidly developing nation and aim to achieve an economic growth rate between 7% and 8% to ensure sustained and accelerated progress.
