Emirates Airlines is enhancing its Dubai-Colombo route with a new daily flight starting January 2, 2025, increasing passenger capacity by 30%. This expansion aligns with Sri Lanka’s tourism goals, aiming to attract 3 million visitors in 2025.
The new service, EK654/655, will operate six times weekly until March 31, 2025, with convenient connections to Emirates’ global network. Starting April 1, 2025, the service will include Wednesday flights with updated timings to offer travelers more flexibility.
The Boeing 777 aircraft features First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class options, ensuring a luxurious and comfortable journey. The expanded schedule strengthens Emirates’ longstanding partnership with Sri Lanka Tourism, supporting tourism and trade growth.
With more than 2,800 daily seats and the capacity to carry 160 tonnes of cargo, this increase will bolster both Sri Lanka’s economy and global connectivity.
