The Department of Labour has announced the resumption of Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) services across Sri Lanka, following the completion of urgent maintenance work on its computer data system.
According to an official statement, labour offices islandwide will begin accepting EPF benefit application forms starting from noon today (21 May). The temporary suspension, which was initially expected to last until 23 May, was implemented to facilitate essential upgrades and maintenance of the EPF database system.
The Commissioner General of Labour confirmed that services are now fully operational and expressed appreciation for the public’s patience during the brief disruption.
The Department had previously advised the public of a short-term suspension of key EPF-related services, citing the need for urgent technical improvements to ensure better service delivery going forward.
