The New Democratic Front (NDF) has officially decided to appoint President’s lawyer Faizer Mustafa to Parliament from its national list, party sources revealed.
Mustafa confirmed to the media that he has been informed of the party’s decision.
A senior lawyer and seasoned politician, Mustafa previously served as the Minister of Sports and the Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government.
He also held the positions of Deputy Minister of Tourism and Deputy Minister of Environment during his earlier tenure in Parliament.
In the recent general election, the NDF, contesting under the Gas Cylinder symbol, secured three parliamentary seats and two national list seats.
