The risk of flooding in several parts of the country has subsided, the Department of Irrigation announced.
In a notice, the Department stated that the early advisory for flood preparedness issued by the Hydrology and Disaster Management Division on January 7 has been withdrawn, as the risk of flooding has diminished.
The Hydrology and Disaster Management Division will continue to closely monitor rainfall patterns and river water levels nationwide. The Department assured that all necessary arrangements are in place to issue timely pre-warnings should the risk of flooding arise in the future.
