The All Island Canteen and Restaurant Owners’ Association has announced an increase in the prices of several food items with effect from midnight today (11).
Accordingly, the price of plain tea has been increased by Rs. 5, milk tea by Rs. 10, and short eats by Rs. 10.
The price of a packet of rice and kottu has also been increased by Rs. 25.
The association stated that the price revision was made in response to the recent increase in gas prices.
