Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath, who is accompanying the President on an official visit to the United States, has engaged in several high-level meetings in conjunction with the United Nations General Assembly session.
Minister Herath met with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, where the two reaffirmed the strong friendship and close cooperation between Sri Lanka and India.
He also held discussions with US Deputy Secretary of State Alison Hooker, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and advancing shared priorities.
