The former Director of the Colombo Crime Division (CCD), Assistant Superintendent of Police Neville Silva, has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
According to the police, Silva was apprehended at the Police Field Force Headquarters.
Reports suggest that the arrest is in connection with a case of kidnapping and wrongful detention.
