Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today (11) to provide a statement in connection with a complaint lodged by former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella.
The complaint pertains to the alleged importation of substandard human immunoglobulin vaccines into the country.
Rambukwella had previously filed the complaint with the CID regarding the broader issue of medicine imports.
As part of the ongoing investigation, several ministers from the previous government have already given statements.
