Former Head of Sri Lanka’s State Intelligence Service, Suresh Sallay, has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department Sri Lanka (CID) in connection with the ongoing investigation into the 2019 Sri Lanka Easter Sunday bombings.
A special CID team arrested Major General (Retired) Sallay in the early hours of today (25) in Peliyagoda.
Police said the arrest forms part of continuing investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks. Further inquiries are currently underway.
