Doctors attached to all government hospitals have launched a 24-hour token strike starting from 8:00 a.m. today (April 2), the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) announced.
The trade union action follows an earlier nationwide token strike held on March 31, which was initiated over several concerns, including alleged unlawful transfers of doctors.
The GMOA states that the latest action is part of ongoing efforts to press authorities to address their demands.
Health officials are expected to monitor the situation closely as discussions between the government and medical professionals continue.
