Gold prices in Sri Lanka have experienced a significant rise, according to the latest figures from the Colombo Gold Centre.
As of this morning (December 21), the price of a pound of 22-carat gold climbed to Rs. 193,200, reflecting an increase from Rs. 190,500 recorded on December 19.
The upward trend is also evident in 24-carat gold, which saw a Rs. 2,000 hike, reaching Rs. 210,000 per pound on December 21.
This surge in gold prices highlights ongoing market fluctuations and reinforces gold’s status as a critical investment avenue amidst economic uncertainties.
