Former Deputy Leader of the United National Party, MP Ravi Karunanayake, says that every government that comes to power aims to build and develop the country.
Speaking to the media, he noted that the key issue lies in how effectively these efforts are implemented at a practical level.
Karunanayake emphasized that no government comes into office intending not to work, and various methods are employed to achieve policies and objectives. Funds are allocated and spent in the process, and whether the intended goals are met can only be determined through proper follow-up.
He added that the current government, like its predecessors, is striving to fulfill its responsibilities, and while positive policies should be implemented, their effectiveness can only be assessed at the conclusion of the process.
