The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) reports that heavy rains and strong winds have caused damage to nearly 2,600 houses and buildings across the country.
According to the DMC, 2,576 houses have sustained partial damage, while six houses have been completely destroyed. In addition, eight business premises have also been affected.
The DMC added that damage assessment efforts are currently underway to determine the full extent of the impact.
