ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Pakistan to Host Matches with Neutral Venue for India-Pakistan Games

The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 will take place in Pakistan during February and March, with India-Pakistan matches scheduled to be played at neutral venues, the ICC Board confirmed on Thursday, 19 December.

This neutral venue arrangement will apply to ICC events held during the 2024-2027 rights cycle, including:

  • ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, hosted by India
  • ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, hosted by India and Sri Lanka
  • ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2028, hosted by Pakistan

The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) also secured hosting rights for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2028, with neutral venues continuing for India-Pakistan fixtures.

Cricket Australia is expected to host a senior ICC women’s event in the 2029-2031 cycle.

The schedule for the 2025 Champions Trophy, featuring eight teams—Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa, and hosts Pakistan—is set to be announced soon. Pakistan will look to defend the title they last won in 2017.
