The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the opening of ticket sales for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, offering entry-level tickets at historic lows to make the event more accessible.
Sales begin at 6:45 p.m. IST, with prices starting from ₹100 in India (approximately $1.11) and LKR 1,000 in Sri Lanka (approximately $3.26). Over 2 million tickets are available for the landmark 10th edition of the tournament, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka across eight venues from 7 February to 8 March.
The tournament will kick off in Colombo with Pakistan facing the Netherlands, followed by West Indies vs. Bangladesh in Kolkata, and India vs. the USA in Mumbai. A total of 20 teams will compete in 55 matches across stadiums including Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad), Eden Gardens (Kolkata), R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo), and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium (Kandy).
ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta said: “Our vision is clear: every fan, regardless of background, geography, or financial means, should have the chance to experience world-class cricket live. By starting tickets from just ₹100 and LKR 1,000, we are making affordability central to the fan experience. The 2026 edition will be the most ambitious and inclusive T20 World Cup in history.”
BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia highlighted India’s efforts to ensure world-class match-day experiences, stating, “This tournament is an opportunity for fans to come together and celebrate cricket in its most electrifying format.”
Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley de Silva added, “We are proud to co-host this prestigious event and look forward to welcoming fans from around the world to our stadiums. Phase I ticket sales encourage everyone to secure their seats early to not miss any action.”
The ICC aims to democratize access to the tournament, combining top-tier competition with an inclusive fan experience in both India and Sri Lanka.
