Deputy Minister of Finance Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando has announced that the 5th and 6th reviews under the Extended Fund Facility, amounting to nearly US$700 million, will be submitted to the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for approval.
He stated that IMF officials currently in Sri Lanka are in the process of reviewing these two phases.
According to the Deputy Minister, technical discussions are also being held between IMF representatives and officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, and the restructured Electricity Board management as part of the review process.
