The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is set to release an official statement this morning (23) regarding the conclusion of the third review under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
The announcement is anticipated to confirm a Staff-Level Agreement on economic policies related to the successful completion of the third review.
The Government of Sri Lanka confirmed that discussions under the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility program were finalized yesterday (22). The talks, held at the Presidential Secretariat, included an IMF delegation led by Senior Mission Chief Peter Breuer, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD).
The Sri Lankan delegation, representing the government, was headed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Professor Anil Jayantha Fernando.
Both parties have officially acknowledged the successful conclusion of discussions concerning the third review.
