Indian Rescue Team Arrives to Assist Sri Lanka’s Flood Relief Efforts

An Indian rescue team arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (29) to assist with relief efforts following the severe weather conditions that have impacted many parts of the country.

The team, which arrived on an Indian aircraft, consists of 76 men and four women, along with four sniffer dogs. They have also brought essential disaster-relief equipment to support ongoing rescue operations, according to an Ada Derana reporter.

Their mission is to work closely with Sri Lankan authorities to quickly reach and assist communities affected by widespread flooding across the island.
