The Department of Meteorology has announced that several spells of light showers are expected today in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the districts of Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara.
Additionally, fairly strong winds of up to 40 kmph are likely at times over the western slopes of the central hills, and in the North-Central, North-Western provinces and the Hambantota district, the Met Department further stated.
