Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail across most parts of Sri Lanka throughout the day.
Showers or thundershowers are likely to occur after 1:00 p.m. in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Central, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Hambantota and Kurunegala districts. Some areas may experience fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm.
Meanwhile, intermittent showers are forecast in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, along with the Galle, Matara, and Puttalam districts.
The Department of Meteorology advises the public to take necessary precautions against potential hazards associated with temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
