Ruwan Asarpa recently held discussions with Vijitha Herath regarding tourism and facilities for Israeli visitors to Sri Lanka.
During the meeting, the ambassador reportedly requested the government to ensure the necessary arrangements and facilities for Israeli tourists, stating that Sri Lanka is expected to become a leading destination for travelers from Israel this year.
According to the ambassador, Thailand and Sri Lanka remain among the most popular travel destinations for Israeli tourists.
Minister Herath noted that areas such as Weligama and Arugam Bay are especially popular among Israeli visitors.
He added that the government is taking steps to ensure comfortable accommodation, security, and other essential facilities for tourists visiting the country.
