Parliamentarian Kabir Hashim has been appointed as the Chairman of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya for the year 2026.
The appointment was made today by Opposition Leader and party leader Sajith Premadasa.
Kabir Hashim, a senior member of the party, has previously served in key ministerial roles, including as Minister of Highways and Road Development.
The move comes as the Samagi Jana Balawegaya seeks to strengthen its organizational structure ahead of upcoming political developments.
