The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued early landslide warnings for several areas across seven districts as persistent rainfall continues to affect parts of the island.
The Level 1 (Yellow) landslide warning will remain in effect until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow (June 16) and covers the following Divisional Secretariat Divisions (DSDs) and surrounding areas:

Colombo District: Padukka

Galle District: Elpitiya

Kalutara District: Walallawita, Matugama, Bulathsinhala, Palindanuwara, and Agalawatta

Kandy District: Ganga Ihala Korale

Nuwara Eliya District: Ambagamuwa

Kegalle District: Deraniyagala, Dehiowita, and Yatiyanthota

Ratnapura District: Eheliyagoda, Kalawana, Pelmadulla, Nivithigala, Kuruwita, and Elapatha
In an updated advisory, the NBRO has also issued a Level 2 (Amber) warning for the Ratnapura and Ayagama Divisional Secretariat areas in the Ratnapura District, indicating a higher risk of landslides.
Residents in the affected areas are urged to remain vigilant, avoid risky slopes, and be prepared to evacuate if necessary.
