Secretary to the Ministry of Health, Dr. Anil Jasinghe, has confirmed that the illness currently spreading in Jaffna has been identified as Leptospirosis.
Speaking at a media briefing, Dr. Jasinghe revealed that nearly 50 patients have been diagnosed with the disease. He reassured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to treat those affected and control the spread of the illness.
