Railway authorities have announced that all train services scheduled to operate on the Main Line this morning have been temporarily suspended due to flooding along multiple sections of the track, including Daraluwa and Gampaha.
The decision follows continuous heavy rainfall and worsening adverse weather conditions across several regions, resulting in waterlogged tracks and safety concerns for commuters and operational staff.
Officials say services will remain halted until flood levels recede and engineers confirm that the affected sections are safe for train movements.
