Police say two masked gunmen on a motorcycle fired a single shot into the air outside a residence in Muthuhenawatta, Meegoda, at around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, before fleeing the scene.
According to investigators, the suspects used a 9mm pistol, with both the bullet and its casing recovered from the front of the house. The motorcycle was last seen speeding towards Muthuhenawatta Road.
The Meegoda Police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the assailants.
