The Department of Meteorology has warned that thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several locations across the Northern, North-Central, and Eastern provinces.
The Met Department further cautioned that temporary localized strong winds may also occur during thundershowers.
In light of these conditions, the public has been urged to take adequate safety precautions to minimize risks posed by lightning activity. Authorities advised:
