The Department of Meteorology has announced that several spells of showers are expected in the Northern, North-Central, and Eastern Provinces, as well as in the Matale District.
Additionally, showers or thundershowers may occur in select areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-Western, and Uva Provinces, along with the Nuwara-Eliya and Kandy Districts, during the evening or night.
Misty conditions are also anticipated in certain locations within the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and Uva Provinces during the morning.
The general public is advised to take necessary precautions to mitigate the risks of temporary localized strong winds and lightning associated with thundershowers.
