Performance incentives have been awarded to Milko employees who achieved the highest sales targets under the Highland brand, recorded a historic profit, and demonstrated outstanding performance.
The award ceremony, organized to recognize these employees’ contributions, was held yesterday (31) at the Milko office in Narahenpita.
Speaking at the event, Minister in charge K.D. Lalkantha said, “We were able to turn Milko, which was ready for sale when our government took office, into a profitable company. As of October 2025, we have achieved a profit of Rs. 1,490 million, the highest in Milko’s history.”
He added that a portion of the profit will be distributed as incentives to dairy farmers, and the government also plans to provide free life insurance for 15,000 dairy farmers in 2026.
The Minister highlighted that 2025 marked the highest sales revenue in Milko’s history and paid tribute to all employees whose hard work contributed to this achievement.
