Ministry of Finance Announces Second Phase of Aswesuma Relief, Targets 2 Million Beneficiaries

The Ministry of Finance has revealed plans to issue applications for the second phase of the Aswesuma relief in January, following a comprehensive review of the initial phase. In October, the program successfully accounted for 1.47 million beneficiaries, marking a notable increase of 29,932 compared to the 1.377 million beneficiaries in September.

Anticipating further expansion, the Ministry of Finance aims to elevate the number of Aswasuma social welfare program beneficiaries to 2 million. To achieve this, the ministry underscores its commitment to selecting the most suitable team for effective implementation.

For the fiscal year 2024, the government has allocated a substantial budget of 205 billion rupees to facilitate the payment of the Aswasuma social welfare program, emphasizing its dedication to supporting citizens in need.
