Mosquito Control Program to Begin Across 16 Districts from June 30

A nationwide mosquito control program covering 16 districts is scheduled to commence tomorrow, June 30, the National Dengue Control Unit announced.

The program will continue until July 5, aiming to curb the spread of dengue across the country.

So far this year, Sri Lanka has reported a total of 28,752 dengue cases, with the Western Province recording the highest number of infections. Tragically, 16 dengue-related deaths have also been reported to date.

Health authorities urge the public to cooperate with the control measures and maintain vigilance to prevent further spread of the disease.
