Construction work on the long-delayed Nawla–Angampitiya Bridge, which was halted midway due to the economic crisis and other setbacks, has recommenced under the supervision of the State Development & Construction Corporation (SD&CC) and has now entered its final phase.
According to officials, the project is on track to be completed and opened to the public by the end of 2025.
Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways Prasanna Gunasena recently carried out an inspection of the site, accompanied by the SD&CC Chairman and other senior officials.
